Privacy policy
We collect the minimum information needed to run your account, and we never sell your data.
Last updated: 1 January 2026
1. Information we collect
- Account details: your full name, email address and, where provided, phone number.
- Academic details: the school and department you select.
- Payment details: the mobile money number used, the transaction reference and the screenshot you upload. We never see or store your mobile money PIN.
- Usage records: the papers you download, with timestamps, and a last-seen time used to show whether you are online.
2. Why we use it
- To create and secure your account and authenticate sign-in.
- To verify your payment and grant access to the correct department archive.
- To apply download limits fairly and show your download history.
- To respond to support requests and detect misuse of the platform.
3. Who can see your data
Your name, email address and payment submission are visible to administrators responsible for verifying payments and supporting your account. Administrative access to student records is logged with a timestamp and the record viewed, so access can be audited. Other students cannot see your details.
4. Storage and security
Data is stored on managed cloud infrastructure with encryption in transit. Access is restricted by row-level security rules, so accounts can only read the records they are entitled to. Payment screenshots are held in private storage and served only through short-lived, signed links.
5. Retention
We keep account, payment and download records for as long as your account is active, and afterwards only where needed for accounting, fraud prevention or legal obligations. You may request deletion of your account at any time.
6. Your rights
- Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct inaccurate details.
- Ask us to delete your account and associated personal data.
- Withdraw consent for optional communications at any time.
Send any request to support@unipasscoconnect-gh.com from your registered email address.
7. Cookies and local storage
We use essential browser storage to keep you signed in and remember your school and department selection. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
8. Children
The platform is intended for university students. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13 years of age.
9. Changes and contact
We will update this page whenever our practices change, and revise the date above. Questions can be sent through our contact page.
